We utilise BGP over multiple uplinks to the internet and peering points to provide us with highly available network connectivity. The use of BGP allows our network to re-route traffic via alternative paths if there's a problem with one of the uplinks insuring minimal downtime.
Our main IP backbone, provided by Level 3 Communications, uses the fastest dark-fibre connections for single-hop connections to Europe and the United States.
